Active lime is also known as quick lime or white lime. Active lime is formed by natural limestone calcination and decomposition at high temperatures. Active lime production line is also called quick lime production line. Active lime product line is made up of a range of facilities.

Lime Production Process

After quarried by the machinery, the natural limestone will be crushed for the first time by jaw crusher. Then the limestone will be crushed for the second time by the fine crusher and put in the stock bin when they are all qualified limestone. There are two weighing devices in the stock bin which could evenly convey the limestone through the feeding pipe into each preheating chamber of the preheater.

Limestone is heated by the hot gas in the preheater to about 900 degrees Celsius, and 30% of the limestone has been decomposed. After a hydraulic thruster, it is automatically pushed to the rotary kiln. In the lime kiln, the limestone is calcinated and decomposed at high temperatures into quick lime and carbon dioxide.

After cold in the cooler cools, quicklime’s temperature drops to below 100 degrees and then discharge.
